About Benedictine University

Benedictine University is a private Catholic university located in Lisle, which is a suburb of Chicago, IL, USA, a village in DuPage County with a population of over 23 000 inhabitants, estimated during the 2008 census.

Benedictine University was established in 1887, by the monks of Saint Procopius Abbey. It was moved to its present location in 1901 and its current name was adopted in 1996.
